<div dir="ltr">Hello friends! 👋🏽<div><br></div><div>I've had an interesting week.</div><div><br></div><div>For some reason, I got roped into discussions with organizations in some countries that want to use CC licenses or join the CC Global Network. This has added an interesting perspective to my work as Network Manager - engaging organizations as members of the Network.</div><div><br></div><div>How did we get to this point? Three ways: </div><div><br></div><div>1. Many organizations applied for the Community Activities Fund. Everyone who applied got an invitation to <a href="https://creativecommons.org/about/contact/newsletter/">sign up for our newsletter</a> and join the CC Global Network. I've been connecting organizations with leaders of various chapters so that they can collaborate and strengthen their chapters.</div><div><br></div><div>2. At any given moment, some awesome CC'er somewhere is giving a lecture about CC or running a workshop or event to promote the use and adoption of the licenses. Some participants reach out to us directly and ask how they can join the network.</div><div><br></div><div>3. A lot of you are aggressively recruiting members for your chapters. I'm very surprised and pleased to see many of you go after organizations in your various jurisdictions.</div><div><br></div><div>All this sparked a thought: we need to quickly figure out how to build the capacity of CC community members to engage with organizations at a chapter level. I'll spend some time thinking about this and will share my thoughts (or perhaps set up a community call to discuss this as one of you suggested to me).</div><div><br></div><div>*****</div><div>Here's a couple of things you should know:</div><div><br></div><div>Upcoming Community Calls:</div><div><ul><li>CC Communications Working Group Call: Please fill out <a href="https://beta.doodle.com/poll/gzk3ssymp6ui68xh">this Doodle Poll</a> to schedule time.
