Hello CC friends! 👋🏽

I spent part of this week researching on community metrics...or to put it
as a question, "how is our community doing?"

Four metrics stand out for me:

   1. *Engagement* - What level of commitment do CC members have towards
local and global CC initiatives or Platforms?
   2. *Participation* - Of our entire membership, how many people actually
take part in CC initiatives and how often?
   3. *Connectivity* - To what extent do we collaborate? Amongst ourselves?
How connected are we to each other?
   4. *Action* - There may be lots of activity in the Network, but how much
of it is strategically geared toward a specific goal? Should it?

In some conversations with CC members, I've learned that some chapters are
thinking about tracking metrics for their community but aren't sure what
metrics to use.

I'm sharing my thoughts on this issue hoping to stir up a discussion on
community metrics. Do you keep track of your chapters' metrics? If you do,
what are those metrics? Do the above 4 metrics make sense?

How do we know our community is doing well?

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on this.

Kind Regards,

Simeon Oriko
